CATHIE TRANENT
Cathie Tranent, South Australian resident (which we won’t hold against her) and my official proofreader, though she has never ever accepted the job neither has she accepted any payment.
I trust her for her knowledge and I also know if I’m heading in the right direction when she comments on the work as a whole that she is correcting.
That was always my plan, critical correction and assessment at the same time.
She did reveal once to me she did it because she got to read my work first, I believe she does it because she’s one of the nicest people on the planet.
Besides her scholarly skills Mrs Tranent is also a rather good (bloody) photographer with a penchant for Tee Shirt design and has shown her worth in an international contest
DEMO STORE CONTEST UNITED KINGDOM 2009
The MECHANIC (left) has also won a photography prize in 2008 in SA, very sharp readers will also recognise it as a collaborated work from the MONK ROCK SERIES.
Cathie's work has also been showcased on popular T Shirt sites around the web
Cathie's photography work also gives her a chance to mix passions with her love of blues music
I have collaborated with Cathie on many things, usually her fixing up my atrocious grammar and spelling but she did a wonderful photoshop image of my son and I (left) as well as a few tshirt designs on my writing.
I also wrote a story for one of CT's photos, something I rarely do.
This collaboration done more as a parody on some fine graphics done by CT has been picked to be part of an exhibition (maybe) in The HAGUE
Over the past couple of years we also managed to interview each other
and helped develop the GAME OF KINGS PROJECT.
All up Mrs Tranent is a talented lady with an natural love of old guitars and panda bears and I strongly suggest you follow the links and explore a bit further into the world that is Cathie Tranent art.
